Tradeoffs of local browser image compression
Image Compressor processes JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and similar files locally in the browser. It supports quality, maximum dimension, output format, batch processing, and ZIP download without uploading images to a server.
Smaller files usually require more quality loss, while lossless PNG and already optimized images may not shrink further. GIF input is converted to WebP with only the first frame, so animation is not preserved.
